| About Me | I have worked in Higher Education, and Public School Education combined for 18 years. I stepped out of education for a few years and became a corporate trainer/Systems Development Manager. We have lived in Texas and Ohio. My husband, Jim, and our four children (Rochelle, Sean, Daniel and Sarah) returned to Missouri (Warrensburg) in 2002. Our children are very active in sports and we have found ourselves doing nothing eating, breathing, and living basketball during the basketball season. Rochelle cheered for football and basketball from middle school through high school. Sean ran cross country (in middle School) and has played basketball since he was 8. Daniel played basketball from age 8 to this past school year. He is not planning on playing in high school this year. Sarah has played basketball since she was 7 and is continuing to play this year for WMS. She is also playing volleyball. Jim plays basketball and softball. I still play volleyball when I get an opportunity. I have presented at many conferences, conducted many workshops, etc. and continue to do so. I finished my doctoral coursework in February 2009. It is hard to believe I am ABD. I am currently awaiting the approval from all of my committee members for my first three chapters of my dissertation. Upon their approval, I have the go ahead to complete my data gathering and analysis. This information will provide me with the necessary data to write my final chapters. I am looking forward to moving forward and defending my dissertation. I have been with Warrensburg School District since 2002. I am the Building Chair for our Student Success Team working with parents, community volunteers, faculty and staff to implement initiatives to improve parental involvement and student achievement; one of the Professional Learning Communities Coaches and...(read more) |
