| About Me | Denise is currently in her 16th year as Choral Director at Warrensburg Middle School, having previously taught secondary music at Higginsville (2 years) and Knob Noster (5 years) for a total of 23 years in public education. She is a member of Missouri Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, Music Teachers National Association, Missouri Music Teachers Association, Pi Kappa Lambda Honorary Music Society, Sigma Alpha Iota Women's Music Fraternity, Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teacher Society, Missouri Middle School Association, Missouri State Teachers Association, Warrensburg Area Music Teachers Association , and Independent Music Teachers Forum. She recently was selected to be the secretarty of the University of Central Missouri's Department of Music Advisory Board. Denise began piano lessons at the age of 4 from her mother and received her Bachelor’s Degree in music education from Central Missouri State University in 1983. She has taught private piano, clarinet, and voice for 32 years and continues to accompany area choirs, reading sessions, and college recitals, as well as serving as pianist/keyboardist at her church. She performed for 14 years with the gospel group "Friendship", recording 3 albums during their collaboration and has played dining music at various area restaurants since 1979. Denise is married to David Robinson and they have two children: Josh, 23 and Andrea, 20, all musicians. Their family performed together for many years and they recorded and released a CD called "Faith and Fun" in 2001. David and Denise continue to perform together as a duo for special occasions such as banquets, meetings, conventions, weddings, anniversary parties, dances, church services/functions, fairs, benefits and others. They also enjoy volunteering at local care centers monthly. Denise recently recorded a solo piano project called "At Home" which was released in January of 2008.
