About	August 13, 1954 to November 30, 2005 Tuffy stayed in the LaPorte area and worked at one of the refineries. He married Betsy Bobo (LP class of 1973) in 1979. He made a very large paper mache bulldog which is on display at the high school. The bulldog is named "Tuffy". Tuffy was very involved in LaPorte High School activities and attended all our reunions. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Gilchrist and husband, Tony, and grandchild, Will Gilchrist, and his son, John Blackshear.
