About	MADISON- Thomas “Tom” Halzel, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011. He was born on Aug. 15, 1958, the son of Leo and Rosemary (Hanley) Halzel. “Monkey Tom” worked at the UW Animal Research Department for 30 years. He enjoyed camping with the local Winnebago Motorhome Group and spending time with friends at the VFW Post #7591. Tom is survived by his sisters, Joanne (David) Brockmann and Jean McCormick; niece, Tami (Bob) Ericksen; great-niece, McKenzie Ericksen; and great-nephew, Noah Ericksen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Brian McCormick
