Tom passed away November, 2015. Tom was a childhood friend, living about a block from me. Tom and I attended La Farge Public school K-12. We were childhood friends. There wasn't a summer day that he and his brother, Orville, and I didn't' played baseball in my dad's hay field below H-82. During high school Tom and Orville would join me in my dad's haymow to play basketball--summer and winter. Tom was a shy person and athletic. He stood out in track and 1956 football team. He was selected on the All-Conference football team. He was an excellent receiver and all I had to do was through the football ahead of him and he would retrieve it. I never saw much of Tom after high school graduation in 1957. Tom and his brother were part of my life and I won't forget them. I had nothing but positive experiences with them. I lost part of me.
