Troy Jordan
Class of 1982
After graduating from the University of Texas in 1986, I left for a job at CNN. Since I've been there I've had a front row seat to history. Everything from Tiananmen Square, the gulf wars, countless elections, the olympic park bombing, hurricane katrina, tsunami disaster in south Asia, gulf oil spill, the death of the pope and of course 911 to name a few. It's been a wild ride to say the least!
I can remember the days when Ted (Turner) would come to the CNN break room in his bath robe and newspaper to have one of those little boxes of cereal and a donut!
Feb. 23 marked my 25th year at Turner Broadcasting. I am currently a director at TruTV, but I've also directed at CNN, CNN International, CNN-IBN and HLN.
I'm looking forward to another 25 years, or retirement, whichever comes first!
