Enjoyed being a weekend warrior with the United States Navy Reserve from August, 1986 until August 2006. Retired honorably after serving 20 interesting years. I retired as a YN1. I was an Admin Petty Officer, Subject Matter Expert, and Navy Recruiter.

Durel R. Patterson

Army, 20+ Years
Lieutenant Colonel Durel R. Patterson enlisted in the United States Army on March 30, 2971. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Polk, LA and Advance individual Training as an Artillery Fort Sill, OK prior to serving in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborn Division.
After completing a tour of duty in Viet Nam, Lieutenant Colonel Patterson returned to New Orleans, Louisiana where he joined the Army Reserve in 1973. His enlisted career continued for another nine years.
Lieutenant Colonel Durel R. Patterson was commissoined as a Military Intelligence Officer through the R.O.T.C. program at Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA in May, 1982 where he also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in Decmber, 1986.
Lieutenant Colonel Patterson is a graduate of the
U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advance courses, U.S. Army nInspector General School and The U.S. Army Command & General Staff Officer College.
