About Me	here is a little about me....US Army Retired........Sergeant First Class (SFC) Rae Anthony McFarlane was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies on 12th September 1967. He grew up in White Shop, Spaldings Clarendon. He attended the Doris Easy basic School, Spaldings Primary and Knox College before returning to Kingston where he lived at UP Park Camp. He attended 2 more high schools in kingston Grantham College and Walgrove Collge before he migrated to the United States in 1985 and enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserve as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic (63B) in 1986. After graduating with honors from Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York in 1987, he joined the active duty army in 1988. He later re-classed as an Avionics Systems Repairer (35R) in 1993 and has since held every position in his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) that includes Mechanic, Avionics Repairman, Senior Electronics Repairman, Squad Leader, Battalion Command Financial Specialist, Platoon Sergeant, Electronics Maintenance Supervisor, Equal Opportunity Representative, Recruiter, Station Commander, Instructor/Writer, Electronics Maintenance Chief, Batallion Maintenance Officer(BMO) and the Electronics Training Division, Advance Branch NCOIC at AIT. SFC McFarlane began his career as a trainee at Ft. Dix, NJ. His assignments have included serving in 623d Transportation Company, 77th ARCOM (reserve) Queens, NY; A Co 703d Main Support BN (Germany); D Co 702d Main Support BN (Korea); D Co 2-160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) Ft. Campbell, KY; F Co 1-160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) Ft. Campbell, KY; New York City Recruiting BN, Times Square Recruiting Station; A & B Companies 615th Aviation Support BN, 1st Cavalry Division, (Ft. Hood, TX), and Instructor/Writer at the Electronics Training Division, Advanced and Basic Branches (Ft Gordon, GA),173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy(duties in Afghanistan 2005-2006), Special Troops Battalion, 3RD Infantry Division, FT Stewart, GA(duties in IRAQ 2007-2008). Currently stationed in South Korea with the 194th CSSB(Combat Sustainment Support BN), he finally ended his tour at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait with the 160th Signal Bde, 54th Signal Bn as the BMO supporting the continuous war on terrorism. SFC McFarlanes awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal; the Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC); Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC); Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2 OLC); Good Conduct Medal (5th Award); National Defense Service Medal (with 2 Bronze Stars); NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (4); Mechanics Badge; Drivers Badge; Parachutist Badge; Air Assault Badge; and the Gold Army Recruiter Badge (3 Safire Stars).
