Dealing with loss,,,

This spring I lost my best friend and life partner, Terry Rhoades. We were together nearly 24 years. He had been ill for several years and fought the illness well. Since then, I've forgotten how to paint and play piano but maybe it will all return one day. My dear old dog, Shiloh, is aging as well and missing our Terry. I hope all the alums are well.

Still painting!

Branched out from space and science, as they didn't sell well down here. Seems people prefer more relatable subjects. I've sold several paintings. My daughter has sold a few as well, and so has my granddaughter. I've won some awards. Nothing big, but I'm happy. Still active in the Muncie Artists Guild and Muncie Astronomy Club. Miss Northwest Indiana.

Finally, I have time to piant!

After retirement, I didn't exactly retire, but eventually time catches up with most of us. So, now I've found another way to make a happy buck or two, and it's enjoyable. I paint astronomy related objects, which are "astro-art" so they need be realistic and accurate. However, I've delved a little into some fantasy scenes, which are simply space art. I guess it really never is too late to start a different career. I'm also still exploring space and helping kids get excited about science.
