My brother Chester Rodgers and John . Had so much fun , when John would say Chester is my uncle . Classmates would say no way . John would ask Chester , are you not my uncle . Chester would say , yes because your mom is my oldest sister . I am John’s aunt , his mom’s youngest sister . The night we got the text from his sister Connie Brown Rodgers . Connie had married Bill Rodgers . It was part of a shock . I was seeing my only sibling away . She told me when l got there l have some news to tell you . Later that night she got the text from Connie . John was my first nephew . Had died Christmas Eve . I will feel that each year now . I know how my aunt felt , when she was told Chester died . Sussie was Chester’s God mother .
