About Me	Gotten Older, and hopefully much wiser..having been married twice, I have learned a few things along the way. In the 60's I had my 3 kids, went to work for the schools in the Cafeterias, then moved from Denver to Houston,TX. Worked for the schools again, in Special Education as a teachers aide, then in a nursing home as a Nurses aide, then as the Activities Director. I managed to get myself, and my daughter in "The Urban Cowboy" movie as extras, (that was fun), They just needed bodies on the dance floor, so we were there, but you can't see us. My oldest son, Wade, introduced me to the world of the pet business,(as he worked for the man that became my present husband), Jon Boyd. After losing our jobs with the pet stores when they were sold, at 40 years old, I became an aerobics instructor in a ladies Aerobics studio, "Venus deMilo" for about a year until we moved about 100 miles North to the country where Jon worked building a Power Plant. Jon and I were married in 1982, July 4th, so we don't forget, and I was a homebody for 4 years until we came back to Houston to manage a pet store for our ex-bosses for about 3 years, then went on our separate ways in the work force, I stayed in the pet supply business, and Jon drove Hot Shot for about 6 years. I learned how to groom dogs from a friend I worked for, in her groom shop/pet store, and have loved it ever since. We're involved with the American Legion, and Jon belongs to a motorcycle club with members that are policemen, and friends and family of them.
