Favorite School Memory	Being the star hillbilly in our play-that was a scream (can't even remember what my character's name was anymore. And...those proms with dreamy dates...mmm.
About Me	I started a family very soon after high school and worked as a Secretary and School-Aid while going back to college to become an R.N. I then worked as a nurse for many years while continuing my education through outreach classes at MSU and FSU. My career, as a nurse, was slowed down by a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at age 38. As a result of this very shocking disease, I started a Traverse City Chapter of MS people and learned and taught others who were going through the same emotional upset. I went on disability and retired from nursing 10 years later. My youngest child was born in 1986, 3 years prior to my MS diagnosis. My husband and I moved to Kingsley from Traverse City in 1995 and built a home on Mayfield Road, Mayfield MI. We were only able to live there 2 years before my husband, a Radiologist, relocated to a small hospital in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with MS at 38 years old. In spite of not being able to walk and move fast, I have always stayed very busy; most recently publishing a Family Cookbook. We live on a small farm-type property outside the city limits and have multitudes of animals; ie 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 horses. The numbers of animals have vacillated with the weather and the number of coyotes around our house.I am also active in investing in stocks and bonds.
