About Me	After high school I attended Luther College where I got a double major in History and Religion. The year after college I went into LVC (Lutheran Volunteer Corps) in Chicago, IL. For that year I was a volunteer with Chicago Uptown Ministry as the Youth and Community Organizer. I worked with 4 separate youth groups, preschool, after school tutoring, and Junior & Senior high groups. I also assisted with food pantry and homeless intake at the Ministry. While in Chicago, I met my future husband, Justin. After my year of service, I attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul MN where I received an MA in Old Testament Studies. I was married to Justin Thornburgh in July of 2002. We live in Chicago and have a wonderful dog named Malcolm Reynolds. I work currently as the Administrative Assistant at a church in Chicago. My husband is applying to seminary next fall. I plan to go on for further school and get a PhD in Comparative Religions of the Ancient Near East and Hebrew Bible, w...(read more)
