I went to Fort Lenardwood Missouri for Basic and AIT on March 15, 1999. I was in Charlie 35th Engineer Battalion. From there I went to 1st Calvary Division Fort Hood Texas and was placed in Bravo Company 8th Engineers. Later I married Jessica Gayle Wessels from Kimball Nebraska. This after my first trainning deployment to the National Trainning Center (NTC) then I went to NTC again and a month or so later I was selected and Volonteered to go to Kuwait/Iraq. There I was mainly stationed on Camp Doha Kuwait. And would do missions outside as required. I then returened after four months and then was sent to NTC again and volonteered for Afganistan. But my orders changed to Korea and my elinstment was up. So I reelinsted for Hawaii and prepared for PCS move. When I got to Hawaii I was sent to 8th Engineer Battallion and volonteered for Iraq turned down for this deployment as well. I then stayed there and trainned to become a light fighter and awaiting Air Assault school. Then Air Assault school was closed due to the deployments. Not long after all that I was put on the disabled list for my lower back. Then I just trainned others that were going to deploy. I also did learn to do taxes and became VITA certified by the IRS. Before I got out I was in charge of the R&U maintance section. And then the 8th Engineer Battallion became 3BSTB. Then I left Hawaii and returned to Kimball Nebraska much to my sorrow. I then went to Prescott Arizona and got a job at Sears as a tool associate and later Automovie associate. Then I started college at Yavapai Community College. Then I again much to my sorrow had to return to Kimball Nebraska. Then went to LCCC doing condensed courses and unable to get a job. From there I went to the University of Wyoming and did Army ROTC. And began Homeland Security with LCCC. Then I came to Sidney WNCC to do a summer semester and got schalarships to stay for the entire year. Then I got another one and was elected Student Senate President and Started the Enviromental Committee and am in the process of Starting the Sidney chapter of Veterns Organazation for WNCC.
