| Favorite School Memory | There were many, but I can't list them here in order to protect the names of the innocent. One of my fondest however was my relationship with a very special girl. |
| About Me | Wow, I could write a book. Since graduation I have been and done many things; some very colorful. Shortly after graduation I left for the Army. While it wasn't what I hoped it would be, I left with some interesting experiences. The most important of which, was a chance meeting with a highly decorated returning Vietnam vet who was with Special Forces. What attracted us to one another I will never know, but we have maintained a friendship that has lasted over 30 years. We recently got back together after not hearing from each other for several years. My friend is now dying, and I'm looking after him. I am honored to call this man my brother. After the Army I kicked around in the trades for a short while, ironworker, truck driver, brick layer, etc. During this same time frame I also was running around with some outlaw motorcycle clubs. I then decided to go back to school. This is where I picked up my first 3 sheepskins andI also changed my career track. I finished my Chef's certification while working for the Grand Concourse in Station Square. From there it was off to south Georgia to open my own restaurant. After several years I moved to south Florida and ran several resort properties; started my own catering and consulting business and was an extra in one of the Smokey and the Bandit movies with Burt Reynolds. I sold my business around '93 and got on my bike for a 1 year vacation that lasted 4 months. When I came back to Florida I joined Harley-Davidson as a salesman. Since then I've become Sales Mgr for several dealerships and worked as a consultant for a dealer in the San Francisco bay area. I'm now back in Florida working for Capital City Harley-Davidson in Tallahassee. I've been married twice, the first time in '83 to a great gal from upstate NY. That lasted just over 10 years and I'm proud to say we're still friends. The 2nd time in '98 to a gal from the U.P., who is 16 years younger. I've since adopted her son around 5-6 years ago. I'm glad to say we're still happily married. Probably because I work out of tow...(read more) |
