Favorite School Memory	I dated my husband all through high school and we graduated together. While in high school, I was advised that due to my grades, college wasn't for me, so take general math and home economic class, get married and have a family. (I did get married and have a daughter and can't cook as I got my lowest grade in home economics...haha. I kept getting promotions at work, eventually I was in a leadership position where the word got out that I only had a high school degree. Had to have an interview with HR, didn't qualify for what I was doing, sooo I trained my replacement and was recruiter to work at another memory care home as manaer, went to college to see if I was college material...and thrived and now I present, consult and teach...and encourage others from what I learned in my...(read more)
About Me	I married young, had one daughter, worked in the Kenowa Hills Migrant daycare program, worked as an activity director, training coordinator with senior adults, started college at age 50, graduated four years later with two degrees, started my own business, do public speaking for seminars and workshops, worked as a corporate trainer and educator for an assisted living organization,with four locations in Michigan. Lots of fun, lots of work, and lots of high school reunions! Went on a adventure with my high school sweetheart husband...working at a small Assembly of God Bible College in Ellendale, ND. Trinity Bible College. Currently living back in Standale, Michigan since 2012, worked in an assisted living home for young onset dementia, with my peers...then went into a learning experience as a Social Services Coordinator and worked at a wonderful small, North East inner city Independent and Assisted Living Community. Now I am currently working less hours to assemble my stories into a self published family book as a legacy to the next generations of my grandkids. I am an independent contractor, DRESSANDER Consulting LLC, and I go into this great assisted living home from my home office...writing training programs, teaching staff, families and residents the approach of supporting, assisting and honoring those with Memory loss.
