1. Sandra married after graduation when she was twenty-one years old for ten years and had four children. She attended Central Washington University obtaining a bachelor’s degree in nutrition. Following college graduation, she moved back to Basin City where she worked for a sub-contractor at Hanford while also obtaining her master’s degree in environmental science from WST Tri-Cities. During this time, she met and married her second husband William Gaines. He died in 2007. Sandra’s greatest Joy in life was her family where she was blessed with fifteen grandchildren. She died on March 23rd, 2025, in the Tri-Cities.
