After graduation, Dorothy moved to Seattle and studied piano at Seattle Pacific College where she met and married her husband in 1974. Her love of music, passed down from her musician father and brother, gave many opportunities to share her musical talents in various competitions, throughout her life in church and in concerts. She helped form a college age singing group performed concerts at numerous churches throughout western Washington. In the 80’s Dorothy was the pianist who accompanied Ruthanna Metzgar on musical tours from Seattle to San Diego and two short term mission trips to Japan. She and her husband moved to Phoenix in 1993 where she received successful medical treatments to allow her to resume performing and recording musical CD’s. In 202, Dorothy’s health worsened, and she was physically unable to do what she loved most – play music. She passed away on February 9th, 2023.
