After graduation, Andy served two years in the US Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Chapter in Tillamook, OR and worked for the US Forestry. He and his wife Cindy resided in Tillamook, Oregon at the time of his death. Andy died on March 3, 1991, at the VA Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
