Following his sophomore year, he moved to Philipsburg, Montana with his Parents and graduated from Granite High School in 1969. He was a member of the Montana National Guard. He worked as a carpenter/painter “Jack” of all trades. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. He had two sons and three grandchildren. Jack died on February 28, 2018, in Butte, Montana after a long illness.
