Vicki attended CBC and then Central Washington University. She married Dave Mitchell in 1972 and they lived in Ellensburg. Together, they had two children and four grandchildren. After David died in 1998, Vicki returned for a 5th year of college and then worked at a Juvenile Center as a para-pro and substitute teacher. She was loved her church, always centering her life on her faith and Jesus. Vicki died in Ellensburg, WA, on March 31, 2007.
