Darrell lived in Kennebunk and had one son, Scott Wyman and a granddaughter, Kearsten Wyman. He was a master electrician, working in the area for many years. He also enjoyed talking on his CB radio with his handle "Kilowatt". In high school, Darrell was in the Co-Operative Course, and participated in the Radio Club during his freshman and sophomore years.
