Kenmore West Class of ’83 40th Reunion Picnic!!!

We know some of you may be traveling to attend, and will be visiting family, so we have some options for the reunion. The reunion will be held at Kenmore Fireman’s Pavilion 1350 Military Road (on the corner of Woodward) in Tonawanda. Rain or shine as there is a huge shelter with a large indoor area. The start time is 2:00 pm and end time is 9:00 pm. Due to liability concerns it will be bring your own alcoholic beverages. No glass bottles or containers. There will be ice, pop, some mixers, cups, water and snacks. There are 2 options for attendance. Option 1 is a no dinner option that will cost $10.00 entry per person.It’s been brought to our attention that an individual is stating they were not invited to the reunion. This is false, everyone & we mean everyone that graduated from the Class of 83 is welcome. We tried to make this reunion as affordable as possible & because of that no mailings were sent. Early on we asked for members to get the word out. The committees goal is to keep costs down so everybody can attend. I ask that when you get a chance send a message to your classmates you would love to see. We are a diverse group with different lifestyles, thoughts religions and political affiliations, etc. but by 58 years old I think we all can be mature adults and put our differences or grievances aside especially for a day. We all are not getting any younger life is short, let’s have a party! One change is that If you do not want to partake in dinner but want to come and enjoy the day, you will be able to purchase the yellow wrist band at the door for $10.00. This will cover pavilion rental, snacks, pop, water and supplies. Option 2 is to pre- purchase a blue wristband at $25.00 per person which you will receive upon check in. This covers a meal catered by Rosalind’s, pavilion rental, snacks, pop, water and supplies. The catered meal will be available from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and will consist of Roast Beef on Weck or Kaiser Roll, Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Pasta with Red Sauce, Bowtie Italian Pasta Salad, and Roasted Potatoes. Pre-payment is required for either option, no refunds. Jana Heaton-Skwierczynski will be collecting the money via Zelle at 7166286706, via Venmo @Jana-Skwierczynski, or by check payable to Jana Skwierczynski and mailed to 10 Ganna Court, West Seneca, NY 14224. Please be sure to include the number of Option 1 or Option 2 you are paying for, lady alumni please include your maiden name. The money is due to Jana by July 21, 2023 so we can provide an accurate head count for the caterer, and for the purchase of supplies. We will be doing a 50/50 split and are also actively seeking donations for an auction to raise money for future reunions. If you would like to donate to the auction please leave a comment below and we will contact you. You will be able to purchase 50/50 and auction tickets at the reunion. There will be some equipment for games. Feel free to bring any outdoor games you may have as well. We will have a table of yearbooks and memorabilia to spur some reminiscing (or if you need to look at an old photo so you know who you have been talking to for the last ½ hour…LOL). Feel free to bring your comfy lawn chairs or picnic blankets. We hope to see many of you there. If you are in contact with any other class of ’83 members who have not been e-mailed or messaged on fb regarding the reunion have them friend request Cat Power or Anne Conti Bazinet so we can add them to the KW Class of 83 fb page and get them the information.
