About	Garth Milton Potts, 76, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 25, 2023. He was born on January 27, 1947, in Newport News, Virginia, and grew up in Buffalo, New York. Garth had a successful career in Jewish communal service. His dedication to the JCC movement led him to work in the Jewish communal field for over 35 years. He worked in various cities, including Buffalo, El Paso, Portland, Vancouver, Oklahoma City, and Birmingham. Garth often joked that if he didn't have to work, he would have pursued his passion for art as a sports cartoonist. Garth received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in printmaking and painting. Although he didn't pursue art professionally, he created a diverse body of work, including portraits, illustrations, cartoons, caricatures, paintings, drawings, and prints, often focusing on representational depictions of people, sports, and Judaica. Garth is survived by his wife, Ann, his children Shoshana (Mark), Micah, Gabriel (Ashley), and Zachary (Sarah), his stepchildren Aaron, Brian, and Joel Hadley, his grandchildren Momo, Kivi, Beckham, and Adelynn, and his sister Wendy (Tom) He was preceded in death by his father Julian Potts and his mother Marjorie Potts Rose.
