About	David Alan Schendel, 56, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Gowanda, died July 15, 2001, in Winter Park (Fla.) Hospital Hospice after a long battle with cancer. Besides his wife of nearly 24 years, the former Donna Schumacher, he is survived by a daughter, Dawn Patrick of Kissimmee, and a son, James Easterday of Williamsport, Pa. Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Kenmore West High School and went to work as a draftsman starting in the early 1960s for various companies -- most recently Elrae Industries in Alden for two years until last December. He and his wife moved to Kissimmee last June.
Events	A memorial service was held Friday in Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Kissimmee.
