About | Robert E. "Bob-Eric" Drennan 1944 - 2009 GREAT BARRINGTON Robert E. "Bob-Eric" Drennan, loving husband of Rose Tannenbaum and devoted father of Amory and Molly Drennan, died in his sleep early Thursday morning, March 19, 2009 at his home in Great Barrington, one month shy of his 65th birthday. Besides his wife and children, Robert leaves his sister Cheryl of Rogersville, Tenn., eight nieces and nephews, and two grand-nephews. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on April 13, 1944, son of the late Earl and Lillian Reichert Drennan, he graduated from Kenmore West High School, and attended the University of Toledo, after which he settled in Westport, Conn. He was a veteran of the Navy. He moved to the Berkshires in 1980, working as a general contractor, and later starting a home inspection business. At the time of his death Robert owned and operated Berkshire Radon Technologies. An involved member of the community, Robert spent many years as an EMT, serving first in Norwalk, Conn., and later on the Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad. His enjoyed photography, hiking, boating, sports car driving and ham radio. Robert had a unique perspective on life which he freely shared with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed. |
Events | FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by the Rev. Kathy Duhon. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home in Great Barrington.
