About	Richard J. Watkins, 68, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday October 11, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Survivors include his beloved wife, of 47 years, the former Barbara Anderson; his children, Leslie Watkins-Schoen and Richard A. Watkins; his grandchildren, Shelby, Connor, Andrew and Ellie and his pups, Spyder, Cole and Pegasus. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A native of Buffalo, Dick has resided in the area for the past 42 years and was a graduate of Syracuse University. He served with the U.S. Air Force and continued to serve by volunteering at the Military Courtesy Room at Hancock Airport. He enjoyed an extensive career in financial planning and truly cherished the relationships that were formed with his clients. He was most recently an advisor with Mohawk Valley Capital Management.
Events	As per Dick's wishes, friends are invited to join his family at Bellevue Country Club, 1901 Glenwood Ave., Syracuse to share in a Celebration of His Life on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be private in Elmlawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
