| About Me | Born at Keesler Air Force Base and raised in the southeastern states of AL, FL, and GA. Attended schools in Vernon, Mobile, Jacksonville, and Columbus. Colleges include Columbus State College and Shelton State. Lived in FL, TN, TX, AL, and now back in FL, including Orlando, St. Petersburg, Nashville, Tuscaloosa, Ennis (30 miles south of Dallas for 12 years), back to Tuscaloosa in 1996 and to Birmingham in 2004. Moved to Fairhope summer of 2013 and loved living there for 1 1/2 years until circumstances beyond my control landed me on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Hey, if you gotta be jobless and homeless, might as well be a beach bum! :-) After 2 1/2 years, life once again intervened and I’ve landed in central FL and hopefully not moving again for a very long time! Places of interest employed over the years include Walt Disney World (Ft Wilderness) and American Family Life Assurance Company (now known as AFLAC - Columbus headquarters). Some of my favorite travels - Key West, San Antonio, Grand Canyon, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, Phoenix, CA (Laguna Beach, San Diego) trip with friends, and Oahu (Waikiki Beach, North Shore) with same friends, and the Blue Ridge Parkway in The Great Smoky Mountains. Nothing relaxes me more than being at a beach, a lake, or floating in a pool. Started collecting sea shells at the age of 10 and most of the collection survived the Tuscaloosa Tornado of December 2000. Can't say that about many other treasures.
