| About Me | I love Sailor Moon. Like, I live and breathe Sailor Moon. You can tease and taunt all you want but I will never not adore the Pretty Soldiers in their sailor suits. I'm also terrible at knitting but I try anyway. I freak out if things aren't put away and organized but I frickin' HATE cleaning! Especially vacuuming. Get that vacuum the hell away from me. I'm trying to get better at my art. I recently graduated from "pretty good doodles" to "high school freshman art student sketches" so there has been progress. Doesn't help that I compare myself to some of the best artists I know: my friends. I enjoy reading Deep Analyses of pop culture, particularly in children's cartoons. So few people appreciate the impact children's media has on a kid's worldview and ways that we can control their intake and counteract the messages we don't like (because let's be honest, it's not possible, or even advisable, to COMPLETELY control what a kid encounters.) I try to at least watch/read/listen to this media (within context if possible) before I make a final decision about it. I'm really bad at writing these analyses myself. I also write crappy poetry about Darkness and Depression and Suicide even though I'm probably the happiest girl in the world. I'm also a terrible prose writer. After a dozen false starts I've all but given up on that dream, at least as a career choice. I'm very much a "jack of all trades" type. I know a little about a lot of things, but not really enough to be a subject matter expert on much of any of it (except Sailor Moon.) Sometimes I surprise myself, though. My life is run by the Law of Inertia. If I'm at home, I want to stay home. But once I'm out, home is the last place I want to be. I really don't care who I offend with my opinions.
