Out of High School, Charlie joined the Navy as an Electronics Technician and served one 4-year hitch. He worked for SDG&E and the City of Santee. He played baseball, was a left-handed pitcher and had a high IQ and a great personality. He has a son Charles in Alpine and a brother, George in El Cajon
