Andrew Forsman (2004)

Drummer and percussionist for the progressive rock band The Fall of Troy[13]

What is Andrew Forsman (2004) known for?

Born and raised in Mukilteo, Washington, Andrew Forsman is a notable alumnus of Kamiak High School (class of 2004). Andrew is a celebrated drummer and percussionist who started his music journey at a young age and had the chance to further develop his skills thanks to the generosity of his drum instructor, Rick Strenslan, who continued to teach him for free when his family could not afford the lessons. This dedication to his craft was further nurtured in his high school years when he joined the Kamiak Show Band's drumline.

During his time at Kamiak High School, Andrew honed his skills, leading to his involvement in the band, The 30 Years War. This band, comprised of fellow Fall of Troy members, released two independently produced EPs: Martyrs Among the Casualties and Live at the Paradox. This early success, however, was disrupted when a member, Mike Munro, decided to leave the band. Displaying resilience, Andrew suggested that the remaining members continue making music together, leading to the formation of the progressive rock band The Fall of Troy.

The Fall of Troy made a name for itself in the Seattle music scene and beyond. Andrew served as the drummer for the band from its inception in 2003 until their hiatus in 2010, and then again when they regrouped in 2013. One of their major achievements was having their song 'F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.' featured on the popular video game, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, a feat that Andrew had jokingly set as a goal.

In addition to his work with The Fall of Troy, Andrew also stepped in as the drummer for the band The Monday Mornings in 2010. Despite his busy music career, Andrew had aspirations of becoming a teacher, though he eventually decided that it wasn't a path he wanted to pursue.

As a musician, Forsman's equipment choice reflects his style and the distinctive sound of his music. His setup usually includes Creation Custom drums and various cymbals, primarily from the Zildjian brand.

Andrew Forsman's dedication and passionate pursuit of music, beginning in his early years in Mukilteo and continuing through his high school years at Kamiak and into his professional career, are a testament to his talent and drive. He is indeed a distinguished member of the Kamiak High School alumni.
