Spencer tragically suffered a heart attack while playing golf with his family in Palm Springs. Spencer had a very successful career in cybersecurity and was considered by those in his field to be one of the leading experts in AWS cyberattack security. He was loved and will be missed by many. A memorial bench was installed at the south end of Mukilteo beach to commemorate him.
