About Me | My maiden name is Colleen Caceres. I like to think that I am a very kind, and loving person. I have a big heart! I especially have a huge heart when it comes to animals! I also love children, and especially being a Mother!! I would have had another child if we didn't have health concerns with Sean (our youngest). He was born with a cyst in his spine, and had spinal surgery at 3 months old. He is doing great for now.As far as animals, they give people such unconditional love! Thats special !!We have had alot of cat's in our life, and a dog. For now we have 2 cats, and a kitten that our middle son Rob found at Lanikai sand traps. My passion is hula. I started dancing with Bella Richards as a little toddler, and eventually danced with Ellen Castilo (spelling) halau pukaikapuaokalani for about 8 or 9 years? Eventually I tried out for the Kailua High School Madrigals. I was very active in my high school "Madrigal" group.Seth, and I knew eachother from Kailua Elementary School, and from Demalei, and Jobs Daughters, but it was in the Madrigals that Seth, and I became really good friends We were best friends for about a year (like Sister, and Brother), and finally we decided to take our friendship to another level. Seth joined the Airforce right out of High school. I went on to College. I went to Hawaii Pacific, and also Honolulu Com. College. We missed eachother so much! Eventually we decided to get married. We married in October of 1983, at Saint Christophers church in Kailua. We have been married for 27 years now. We have 3 beautiful sons. Seth (Ricky, age 26), Robby (age 23),Sean (age 10). We actually also had another son in January 1998,(before Sean's birth), but he didn't survive. We lived in Germany, Utah, Washington, and now we are back home in Hawaii for good. Ricky was here for about a year, and he left to go back to Washington to finish getting his degree. He eventually moved to Kaui (in Kapaa),and now is temp. living with us in kailua. Robby, moved back to Washington after he graduated at Kailua High, and was working in Construction. He eventualy moved back to Hawaii with us. He wants to become a vet tech.He went to college for a little while. He has a full time job at a vets in Aikahi. He loves it,and put college on the back burner for now. Sean (our youngest) is a very happy, well mannered easy going. He is our little family Maricle!Seth, works in management for Oceanic, and is very busy with Masons, and our church R.C.F, or now "The Wave". I worked for Emmanuel preschool, and tried to make a difference in the childrens lifes! All of the staff got laid off, so now I am looking for work. We are very happy, especially being back home in Hawaii! I am trying to reconnect with family who I lost contact with over the years on my Dads side of the family. They are spread out over Washington, The Big Island,Kaui, here and probably the Phillipines, and Spain? I also have alot of family in Australiafrom my mom's side that I miss always!I am adopted by my Great Aunt, and Uncle.I Especially miss my biological Mom, and Dad, and my 3 sisters (Tracey, Candice, and Katherine). Sadly my sister "Katherine" died in July of 2010. I went home to Australia for her funeral. My family in Australia helped me to get there on very short notice. It had been way too long since I had seen all my beautiful family there! I miss my sister Katherine so much! She lives on in my family's hearts! Im especially close to my oldest sister. We text each other all the time! Thank goodness for technology! Seth, and I moved back with my Mom here in Hawaii. My Dad passed years ago. He is missed a lot!I love being home in the house he loved so much, and the land. All he cared about was family, and loving each other. Life is so short! Every day is a gift! The more Ohana (family)...(read more) |
