Served in Combat Engineering Battalion when first enlisted serving as Communications and Radio Specialist. . Later transferred to Nike Hercules Missile Battery as Communications Lead and driver for Battery Commander. Following the disbanding of the Nike Hercules program was transferred to the 49th Armored Division in Fort Hood as a Transportation Specialist responsible for moving and logistical operations of heavy equipment, armored vehicles and fuel transports. Left service as a Staff Sargent.. Would not trade these times and life lessons for anything!
