| Favorite School Memory | I loved football games and hanging out with friends and cruising main street; however, senior night is my best memory becuase I got to spend it with my dad. |
| About Me | Wow! I have done a lot since high school. I married my first husband from Joplin after high school and we had a beautiful daughter together. Evie is truly the angel in my life, and I have been truly blessed with her. We divorced when she was 5, and I later remarried. She is currently 13 and a cheerleader at Heritage Middle School. I have been very blessed. I have been very fortuante because I was able to break the cycle of abuse, and to work my way out of poverty. I got to travel Europe and see the world. This really opened my eyes and made me more aware of world politics and shaped my political views. I served in the U.S. Army going throught basic training and AIT in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and I served at Ft. Hauchuca, in Sierra Vista Arizona where I was assigned to the 103rd Military Intelligence BN. From the military, I returned to College and I went to the University of Idaho where I obtained my bachelors and masters desgree. My childhood experiences and experiences with family members who had mental illnesses shaped my career choices where I have worked for public and non-profit entities who serve those who are economically poor to meet thier basic needs of housing, food, and shelter. I have advoacated for those that are often times labeled as outcast in society to improve thier lives through safe, decent, service enriched, affordable housng. I have overseen the operations of homeless shleters, tranistional housing, resident social services programs, and affordable housing oportunities. Currently, I work for a company that promotes migrant farm worker issues in rural communities, and I develop and build rural farm labor and HUD housing. I have been sucessful because if I have helped one family, I have helped one person grow up in a better place, and hopefully, they will h...(read more) |
