| About Me | I went in the Air Force in 1975. My son from my first marriage was born In 9/1975. Lived in Omaha Nebraska during my military years. Worked in the underground at SAC headquarters. Worked as a heat & air man several years. Started my own car shop in 1981 in OKC called A Body Shop. Was successful till I was robbed of it all one weekend while I was out of town. Lived in Orlando, OK, then back to OKC, where I was in cabinet varnishing by spray gun for awhile. Met Melinda Kukuk Jones in 1986 through her cousin. We became best friends and then married when 31 in 1988. We both graduated in 1974 from small towns in Oklahoma. I Helped my wife raise her 3 children from her 1st marriage, they were 4, 6, & 8 when we married. Lived in Perry, moved to Jones in 1989, moved to Eucha in 1996. My son from my 1st marriage contacted me and was able to meet him and his family of 3 boys. David Passed away in an auto accident on April 22, 2017, in his beloved 1964 Plymouth Barracuda Sport Coupe coming back home from a car show in southern Missouri. Buried at Mose Ridge cemetery April 27, 2017 about 5 miles from home in Eucha. Felt happy with how his life was going and the things he had done. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nov. 1988. Lived a rightous life and helped people from all walks of life. He left a Big footprint on this earth. He did not have one person say a bad thing about him after he died. He had so many friends the big church was full. Every chair was taken with people still standing in the back of the opened up chapel area, and standing out in the parking lot. His wife wanted to honor him by calling for "1 last cruise for David Jones". It wound up being 1 & 1/2 to 2 miles long with approximately 60 older or suped up vehicles in the funeral procession. David's casket was taken to the cemetery in the back of a 1948 Chevy pickup he had built. It was painted a medium blue. I'd say I was able to send him out in style. And the 3 kids he raised all said Dad will be standing in heaven with a big grin on his face! ...(read more) |
