Carole Frederick

Class of 1955

Carole Frederick-Langley graduated from Jones High School, class of 1955. She received her Bachelor and Masters Degree in Voice from Oklahoma City University. Carole was one of the original OCU Surrey Singers and traveled to both New York City and Hollywood to sing at the opening of the movie, “Oklahoma”. Carole sang with the Kansas City Lyric Opera. She became a leading soprano with the Munster, Germany Stadt Oper where she sang over 100 performances! After returning to the states to teach at OC.U., she met and married her husband Duane Langley. As Director of Music Ministries, Carole directed choirs in Oklahoma City and Midwest City, Carole became the Director of Music Ministries at First United Methodist Church in St. Charles Missouri where she oversaw and directed an active program of 10 choirs and small orchestras with over 200 people involved each week. She has just recently retired after 27 years. Carole continues to be active in her state and local music clubs and the National Federation, but her greatest love is Opera in the Ozarks located at Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony near Eureka Springs, Arkansas
