Favorite School Memory	Walking down to the drugstore (that served hot dogs and burgers) for lunch every day with my three best friends-chatting and having fun.
About Me	I moved to Lexington, NC after graduation-was employed with Lexington Telephone Company for 5 years, married and became a stay-at-home mom for a couple of years after my second child was born. I then took a position as secretary/treasurer at an elementary school the year my first child, a daughter, started Kindergarten at that same school. I later moved to the school system's Administrative Office in Human Resources, where I learned and performed almost every task related to the workings of that department. My main responsibilities included handling retirement, overseeing a web-based Human Resources Management System for 2000+ employees, new employee orientation/benefits sessions, and teacher and administrative contracts. As of March 1, 2010, I, myself, became an "official retiree," ending a 35 year career with the school system. Since then, I have enjoyed spending more time with my five year old granddaughter, Zoie, and doing many things I have not had time to do for a very long while.
