Najay grew up in a single parent household in South Central, LA as the only child, she and her terminally ill mother Temporarily moved to Mobile, Ala. where she continued her schooling. As a fan of Rap, R&B, and gospel music, from a young age. Najay began rapping at the age of 8, Although she was a teen parent,her focus remained on her music and returning back to her hometown in los Angeles. Still in high school, Najay had entered many school and local talent shows in Mobile. After performing at one her high School talent shows, she came to the attention of one of her classmates, who was at the time in a gospel rap group(young for christ) and was impress on Najay's performance, which Najay shortly joined the group and went on to do shows with them. Later she went on to continue with her writing and performing solo at sports events and clubs, which landed her a radio commercial spot,which she written and performed a jingle for an local Chiropractor . In 2001, Najay returned to Los Angeles and stayed with a close Relative, while she worked at odd jobs to save money and to get her own place. as months went on,Najay Continuously entered open mic nites contest, auditioned for the Apollo, and opened up for other up and coming artists. her rap style has been compared to some of her biggest influences, such as Da Brat, Missy and M.C. Lyte juss to name a few. Najay's talent, huge personality, and sex appeal have captures hearts of many supporters her throughout California.
