About Me	I have a wonderful husband (Dennis), son (Kyle), step-son (Jayson), and daughters-in-law (Catherine & Megan). Teaching is my passion and I have enjoyed my career that has allowed me to experience so much. I love hearing from former students and look forward to meeting new students each year. I retired from teaching school on December 1, 2012. Most of my years were at the high school level, but I was blessed to teach at the elementary level the last three years. I also can't leave out the 4 years I taught middle school at the alternative school in Calhoun, GA. By the end of my career I had taught every grade except kindergarten and 1st grade. My husband asked if I wanted to stick it out another couple of years and get those grades checked off. My answer was a definite "no." This isn't a game like, "see how many states you can visit!" My daily life is made more challenging by Multiple Sclerosis, which I have had since 1994. The daily fatigue and pain can be so difficult and really keeps me from doing things I would like to do. Some people never know I have it because there are very few outward signs unless I am having trouble with balance or walking and having to use my crutches, scooter, or wheelchair.
