Joni passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2014 in Newport News, VA. She attended John McDonogh High School, Newcomb College and Delgado Community College. She operated the Strawberry Patch Gift Shop in Newport News, VA. Past-president of the Braxton Perkins Chap. of the American Legion Auxiliary in Hampton, VA and Grand Chapeau of Eight and Forty. Predeceased by son, John Alton McCulley, and husband, Douglas A. McCoy, Sr. Survivors include Cathleen McCulley Langhoff (Irwin) of New Orleans, Joseph M. McCulley of Summit, MS and Douglas A. McCoy, Jr. of Hampton, VA and grandchildren Shane A. McCulley (Tiffany) of New Orleans, Brooklyn N. Jordon of Winnfield, LA, and Allyson M. Langhoff of New Orleans, also a great grandson, Charter Reid Johnson of Winnfield. A memorial will be held at the home of her daughter in New Orleans. Cathy would love to hear f rom classmates.
