"Coach Skinner", as he was affectinately known by every student (athlete or not), who attended John McDonogh from 1970 until his passing, was the consummate father figure and mentor to so many of us former Trojans. Although he was well known for his legendary accomplishments as the Trojan football and track coach, he also had a positive influence on so many of the students (especially his team members) and will always be regarded as the "second father" for many of us and the catalyst for many of our successes.
