About Me	I grew up in Richmond, VA, with my twin brother Harper and younger brother David. I 1962 graduated from VMI with a degree in BIology. I attended Dental School at MCV and graduated in 1970 with my DDS degree. I married Mary Caroline Boone from Newnan, GA that August. I served in the US Army Dental Corps in Germany for 3 years and in the US Army Reserve from 1970 to 1979. I worked as a staff dentist for the VA Hospital in Kansas City, MO, from Sept 1973 until June 1975 when I began graduate Periodontics at UMKC and treated patients at the Wadsworth VA Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. Upon receipt of my MS in Oral Biology and Certificate of Periodontics in 1977, I moved to Birmingham, AL where I was the Chief of Periodontics at the VA Hospital and Clinical Instructor at the UAB School of Dentistry, primarily working with dental students. Beginning in 1979 I opened a private practice as a Periodontist in Rome, GA and remained there until January 2010. I became Board Certified in Periodontology in 1984 and added Implantology to the certification in 2018. I have opened a private Periodontal Practice In Adairsville, GA, in June 2010.
