My ring was stolen with my engagement ring and a black onyx ring with a diamond in center with gold lace edging around outside from Southern States Cooperative on Main Street 1956 where i was employed. Black onyx was seen by me and my dad on the finger of a waitress a couple days later at the restaurant across the street. My school ring was 1955 gold class ring with no additions.
Lost a 1962 John Marshall ring.

Hi, both my parents graduated from JMHS in the 1940s. They have both passed away in the last 10 years. I found a ring in my mom's belongings that I'm wondering if it is a JM high school class ring. It has the JM initial on the top on a shield of some sort. The background behind that area is a sapphire blue. On one side is "19" and on the other "44". On the inside of the band are the initials DBM. If I sent you an image of the ring, could you tell me if it is one of your class rings and if there are any class members with those initials? Thanks! My email address is ldweber@centurytel.net

John Marshall High School class ring w/blue stone, initials BMS and year of graduation (1936) on the inside of the band. My mother told us (and wrote about) how a man in Arlington, VA, dug up her lost ring and returned it to her, but I could not find her ring among her jewelry after she passed away. Instead, I found a completely different ring with a red stone, for a different school (Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, VA), and the initials inside of that ring might or might not be B.M.S. First two initials look correct. Last initial could be S, A, or X. But Mom graduated from John Marshall in 1936, so I'd love to receive her ring if anybody ever happens to find it (again?). If you knew my mom (or dad, who also attended John Marshall High School during his earlier years and for most of 1936, but didn't graduate - B. Roy Dudley, III - and have a story to share about my mom or dad, I'd love to hear it. Dad went on to fight for a bit in WWII and later on owned his own printing company. Mom ended up working as a secretary and, when she retired, playing the organ in a band in Florida for dances.
