Bruce Loman

Class of 1967

After KHS attended Mattatuck CC then Western Connecticut State College.Became a Golf Professional in CT and eventually ended up working for the Bob Hope Classic and Dinah Shore Golf Tournament Staffs in Palm Spring Cailfornia. While there I met Ely Callaway from Callaway Golf and went to work for him there. We developed a revolutionary new club called Big Bertha that changed the golf industry. The first oversize metal golf club.I have been there for over 25 years.Mr Callaway was asked to speak at Harvard University which did a case study on the company because of it rapid success.Callaway Golf is now one of the best known golf equiptment companys in the world and my involvement there has allowed me to meet people i would never have imagined while at Kennedy.Bob Hope,Dinah Shore ( she used to have us over for a barbecue),President Gerald Ford,Joe Dimaggio etc.Have gotten to play golf with entertainment people like Kathrine-ZetaJones,Alice Cooper, and many well known athletes. All because of playing golf on the Kennedy High Golf Team ! LOL. I dont have any document etc to scan at the moment but if you look at the Waterbury Republican American from April 2012 Joe Palladino did a story about me on the sports page that can verify. Thanks,Bruce
