About Me	I married my high school sweetheart (from Adel), and we had 37 perfect years together before his sudden death two years ago. I have two wonderful daughters - Brooke is married to a Danish national, has my first grandchild Molly 2 1/2, and is expecting her second child in December. They live in Detroit. My youngest daughter is Alyssa. She was in Secret Service for five years, married a career Marine two years ago, has a 1 year old son Tristan, and just moved from Quantico to California. So I travel quite a bit to see the girls and my little ones! IAfter graduation I went to GrandView, then to ISU and DMACC. Got my B.S. from ISU in Sociology/Juvenile Delinquency. I went from being practically blind (my school pictures all have me thick glasses) to perfect vision for a while thanks to Lasik surgery. Now I'm in those darned cheater glasses, but thankful that my eyesight is pretty good. For the past 19 years I've worked at Simpson College where I was the dean's secretary until my husband's death. Then I switched to the Carver Science building to work more closely with faculty and students, and love it. I have been on every diet known to mankind, stayed pretty active with tennis, aerobics, zumba, gardening, and have painted the inside of my house so many times, my husband accused me of making the rooms smaller!
