Joe attended Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, CO. He married Julie Grove in 1986, they moved to Washington state and had two children Audrey and Matthew, they divorced in 1997. Joe was a journeyman electrician working on high voltage lines. He returned to Colorado after his divorce. He loved the mountains, camping and fishing and dreamed of being a fishing guide in Alaska. Sadly he passed away at age 58 due to a PE blood clot and is missed by his family.
