| About Me | Richard W. Morris is an octogenarian observer of life. He is also a retired lawyer, academic, writer, and professional pilot, whose career spans law, education, aviation, and publishing. Licensed to practice law in Arizona and California, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, multiple federal courts, and the United Kingdom of England and Wales, Morris brought a broad and international perspective to his legal work. He started as a prosecutor in two states, then worked in criminal defense, and later focused on civil law. Morris also taught as a teacher and adjunct professor, holds a lifetime community college teaching credential from California. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (economics), a Juris Doctor, and a PhD in Business Administration. He joined Mensa in 1971. Aviation has always been important to Morris. He got his student pilot license in high school and flew for over fifty years before retiring. He holds airline transport pilot and flight instructor certificates, and has flown as pilot-in-command in about forty countries on four continents. In addition to his legal and aviation careers, Morris has written extensively. His articles have appeared in a wide range of publications, including The Los Angeles Daily Journal, The Arizona Republic, Playboy, American Atheist, Truth Seeker, San Diego Realtor Magazine, San Diego Mensan, Art World News, Secular World, International Liberty, Free the People, and others. He was also a columnist for the now-defunct Page USA newspaper in Page, Arizona. Morris’s books span fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. He co-authored The Art Fraud Virus with Richard W. Stevens, wrote Fragments of Life, a collection of poetry, and If Abe Had Been Honest, a short historical novel about Abe Lincoln.
