Love to travel, see new places, meet new people and just enjoy everything I do!! I was born in Hollywood, Ca - but consider Kauai my home! :) Just waiting until I can can go back and stay! I also have been collecting Betty Boop for31 yrs now! I have a huge collection of hard to find & unusual items - I can't help but love Betty Boop!! I wasn't going to put this on my profile - but because I want everyone to learn about it, and support research I am going to. I have Lupus, and I was diagnosed with it when I was 18 after a severe car accident. Not too much was known about the disease then, and life expectancy due to organ complications was short. Along with the Lupus I have Gout, Rhuemitoid Atrhritis, and just recently kidney failure - but I don't let that stop me from experiancing everything possible!! I have had numerous problems, chemotherapy treatments, including kidney failure which somehow miraculously dissapeared but once again my kidneys went into failure, so I am now on dialysis. I feel that Noni was the miracle I had been searching for - and was blessed to find the first time, although it didn't seem to help this time. I really want to educate people on this disease that effects so many people and has no cure, I look totally normal - just a bit heavy from the Prednisone, but my immune system struggles all the time, and I have good times and then some really bad times. Since Feb of 2011 I have been on dialysis which has been extremely challenging because after a second surgery to fix my chest catheter, and 2 surgeries on my fistula it still isn't working properly - it looks like there may have to be another soon. My ultimate wish is that someone will bless me with a kidney. Having to wait on the transplant list could be many, many years - and I am not dealing so well with all of this, so maybe there will be an answer to my prayers! I created a page "Help - I need a kidney" in hopes that someone, somewhere will see it. Lupus does not get much press, but it really needs to come to the forefront so that people can be aware that is is out there!
