Margo (Keefer) Lockmann
Class of 1964
The most poignant day of my years at John Burroughs High School was the day zI walked into Mr. Anzalone’s Government Class and heard the news about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy!
We all sat there, bewildered and shocked thinking
that this could happen in.ou re Country.
We listened to numerous radio reports and Mr. Anzalone opened up a discussion about how best to deal with this terrifying news. We were dismissed a short while later to either go home and be with our families. I recall that some students chose to leave school and go to a Church or Synagogue of their choice. I was the saddest day for so many!
